The blades have a beautiful texture and an expensive look. The Old Chicago finish is really eye catching. The light kit really compliments the fan. My patio now has a strong Caribbean vibe. I was leery about buying such an expensive fan without seeing it first, but I was extremely pleased once it was hung. And of course, it works well. The only negative was the installation instructions. My husband has installed several ceiling fans over the years, but this one involved a little trial and error until he figured out how to hang it. I also bought the handheld remote, which was also a little tricky, to install. The remote is wonderful for being able to dim the light real low. When shopping I noticed that some outdoor fans are only for damp locations. This fan has a wet location rating for itself and the light kit, so it is designed for heavy outdoor use. |
