So, my review below is only my initial impression; I don't know how it will hold up in the long term.I wresled between giving this item a 3 or a 4. If I had paid more for it, I would have rated it a 3. But at $350, it's about 1/2 the price of similar items, so I decided to give it a 4. After reading reviews from other Strathwood products, I expected some minor damage from shipping and have some minor issues with hole alignment during assembly. This is exactly what I got. There were some scratches during shipping, which I'm hoping can be repaired with a furniture paint pen. However, one of the table top pieces was broken off. I considered returning the item, but after blowing an afternoon waiting on shipping (my window was between 3-7), I decided to make the repair myself. The set requires assembly so the table and chairs come in pieces. The packaging is very flimsy. The pieces are tied together with twine and packed in cardboard with very little paper cushion. The wood is not nearly as sturdy as would be expected for the whole collection. One of the chairs was badly damaged in the packaging. The table was fairly easy to put together. There were only about 9 pieces to screw together. The problem is that the pieces that go in the corners, just under the table top, are not thick enough or strong enough for the role they are supposed to play in supporting the table. When attempting to move the table (once put together), one of the corner pieces snapped in two. The table felt wobbly to the touch even before the corner piece broke. The table looks great and admittedly, I didn't pay a lot for it. But it's a bit flimsy to the touch and I doubt it lasts more than two seasons. I have given the...
